The Preiss Group – RNA Biology is seeking a motivated Computational RNA Biology Research Assistant to provide bioinformatics support on a range of research activities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, optimise, and apply computational tools to study RNA sequence, structure, and function.
  • Conduct analyses of RNA-Seq, single-cell sequencing, or other high-throughput datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with experimental biologists and interdisciplinary teams to integrate computational and laboratory-based research.
  • Interpret data to discover novel insights into RNA biology and contribute to high-impact publications.
  • Maintain expertise in emerging trends and tools within the computational RNA biology field.
  • Contribute to grant writing and funding opportunities where computational RNA expertise is critical.
