Postdoctoral Positions (One Chemist, One Biologist) at the Kwok Lab

2 postdoctoral positions (one chemist, one biologist) are available immediately at the Kwok Lab, Department of Chemistry, City University of Hong Kong. (www.kitkwok.com)

The current research is focus on “explore the role of RNA structures and interactions in biology”, “develop targeting tools for detection, imaging, intervention of important RNA structures and interactions”, as well as “invent innovative nucleic acid-based technologies for sensing chemical pollutants and biological toxins”. With adequate funds, great team spirit and scholarly culture, we invite 1 postdoctoral fellow in biology and 1 postdoctoral fellow in chemical biology to join.

Research Themes
1) G-quadruplex structure and function
2) RNA biology and gene regulation
3) Aptamer development and application

Requirements
1)      Candidates with excellent molecular biology and chemical biology skills with experience in RNA structure and biology will be preferred for the biologist postdoc post.
2)      Candidates with excellent analytical chemistry and molecular science skills with experience in nucleic acid aptamer and biosensing will be preferred for the chemist postdoc post.
3)      Qualified candidates should have accomplished their Ph.D. degree in related areas, strong publication track records.
4)      Good skills with English literature reading, listening, writing and presentation.

Salary
Salary will be negotiable depending on research experience, publications, qualifications and laboratory-related mindsets and skillsets.
